Event Description

This session focuses on supporting special educators in applying the essential elements of Full and Individual Evaluation for for Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) Eligibility Determination required by IDEA 2004 and the MDE SLD Criteria and MARSE. During a 6-week Hybrid Course (Online and Face-to-Face) participants will complete all of the elements of a Full and Individual SLD Evaluation with real students from their local district while receiving coaching and feedback on the process via Moodle, email, telephone conferences and virtual meetings. As a culminating activity participants will demonstrate the ability to make the SLD eligibility determination and support the decision with evidence from the evaluation process. Registration fee includes materials and snack.
