Event Description:
Learn how to create emotionally intelligent learners. Focus will be centered on those supporting students with IEPs. Marc Brackett, PhD, is the Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and Senior Research Scientist in Psychology at Yale University. Dr Brackett has developed a social and emotional learning program called RULER. It has been shown to boost academic performance, decrease school problems, enrich classroom climates and enhance teacher instructional practices. Dr . Brackett consults with school systems around the world and his research has been featured in the New York Times and on National Public Radio. Sign up now! Spaces are limited. Registration deadline is February 5, 2014.
Note: Due to funding guidelines, priority will be given to Oakland County public schools & PSA's. Non-public schools and out-of-county registrants may be moved to a waiting list, but will be notified in advance of the change in registration status.
