Universal Design for learning is a set of guiding principles that motivates radical change in schools. It promotes inclusive environments, empowers student voice and choice, removes instructional barriers and ignites student engagement! Join us as guest speaker Katie Novak, author of UDL Now!, and District representatives share their experiences and learning around UDL. In this workshop participants will: - Learn about Universal Design for Learning and its implications for inclusive educational environments.
- Explore current UDL research, key concepts, and practical classroom applications.
- Explore UDL and its connections to Common Core.
- Learn to use UDL as an instructional design tool, specifically focused on environmental design and lesson design.
