Event Description:

Disciplinary Literacy Network

Opportunities for educators to continue the conversation about disciplinary literacy, engage in "just in time" learning, and network with colleagues and Oakland Schools consultants to support continued growth around this work. Lunch will be provided from 12:00 to 12:30 PM.

WHAT ARE OUR GOALS?

1. Identify the ways of knowing, thinking, and communicating in each discipline. 2. Increase knowledge around the role of problem-based instruction in each discipline. 3. Connect in-school and out-of-school literacies. 4. Identify areas of readiness and use systems thinking to implement changes in instruction. 5. Network with other professionals.
