Event Description:
This professional learning experience is part of a comprehensive effort to address student engagement. The morning will incorporate Randy Sprick's Safe and Civil Schools (University of Oregon) videos and discussion related to motivation, expectations and building effective relationships with students. Additional content will revolve around basic principles of behavior;  tips regarding how staff can both identify and positively effect conflict cycles with students. In the afternoon we will unpack Robyn Jackson's book, "How to Motivitate Reluctant Learners". Participants are encouraged to bring laptops, ipads and internet ready cell phones. Fee includes book, handouts and lunch.
