Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) is a theory-based, comprehensive and systematic approach to specific types of crisis situations. This course teaches a knowledge base and related skills that are relevant to staff who deal regularly with challenging students who are in emotional crisis. Trainees will receive didactic and experientially based training, allowing them to intervene effectively and confidently in preventing and managing crisis situations that otherwise often lead to behavioral escalation, suspension, aggression, and also interfere with learning. NOTE: Attendance at all five days is required. No partial credit SC-ECHs. Speciality Certificate Provided: LSCI certification. Registration deadline is June 9, 2014. Due to funding guidelines, priority will be given to Oakland County public schools & PSA's. Non-public and out-of-county registrants may be moved to a waiting list, but will be notified in advance of the change in registration status. |
