Event Description:

This session focuses on the essential elements of a Full and Individual Evaluation for Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) Eligibility Determination required by IDEA 2004. Both SLD options (Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses and RTI) will be covered and interpreted within an instructionally relevant manner consistent with IDEA 2004, the MDE SLD Criteria and the MARSE. The IDEA requirements for evaluation procedures are reviewed along with options to operationalize the requirements. Participants will learn how to incorporate a variety of assessment tools and strategies which are used to make eligibility decisions and define Present Levels and Goals.

Due to funding guidelines, 27 seats are available for Oakland County Public School and PSA/Charter School employees at a cost of $15 per participant. There are 3 seats available for Private Schools, Agencies, and Out-of-County participants at a cost of $15 per participant.
