CANCELLED: Specific Learning Disability-Job Embedded Learning Modules 

This session focuses on supporting special educators in applying the essential elements of Full and Individual Evaluation for Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) Eligibility Determination required by the IDEA 2004, the MDE SLD Criteria and the MARSE. During an 8-week Hybrid Course, participants will complete all of the elements of a Full and Individual SLD Evaluation with real students from their local district. After the initial Face-to-Face orientation session, the remainder of the course will use technologies such as Moodle, email, telephone conferences and virtual meetings for coaching and feedback. As a culminating activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to make the SLD eligibility determination and support the decision with evidence from the evaluation process.

Registration is reserved for district building teams (2 or more people) and must be approved by your Special Education Director or building administrator.
