| Event Description: |
This training will include an overview of the Trauma Smart model and include: recognizing signs of trauma and toxic stress, understanding the impact of trauma for children and adults who care for them, exploring classroom and family support strategies. Morning session focuses on: How trauma affects early childhood brain growth and development, How caregivers are affected by secondary trauma/toxic stress; and Attunement. Afternoon session will focus on grief and loss and how we intervene. |
