In this four day content institute, participants will investigate the concepts of congruence, similarity, and symmetry from the perspective of transformations, the development of transformations in algebra, functions, and geometry for grades 7-11, formative assessment pedagogy: strategies for assessment for learning in geometry, ways in which computer-based kinesthetic and visual encounters with geometric functions make abstract geometric ideas real to students and enable them to build abstract function concepts based on their sensory-motor experiences. |
