Event Description:

After attending a UDL Foundations workshop and UDL Design Lab join the PLN4UDL in the next step in UDL Implementation. The UDL Academy is designed for UDL practitioners who want to implement UDL in their classrooms, get some more UDL tools and ideas, "edu-hack" their current resources to make them more UDL, or build their own UDL professional learning experiences for their home PLCs/schools/districts. In the Academy participants will interact with National and local leaders as they delve deeper into the framework of UDL, explore the connection between UDL and other initiatives such as Maker Ed, Cultures of Thinking, and Social Emotional Learning outcomes. Participants will also explore the presence of UDL in many state and federal policies. Finally, participants will create implementation plans on scaling up UDL in their own practice, building, or district. UDL Academy is a hybrid offering with a one day face to face component and an online learning and collaboration space developed in mi PLACE.
