Event Description:

This week-long intensive course focuses on conventional literacy instruction for students with moderate to significant disabilities. Dr. David Koppenhaver and Dr. Karen Erickson will guide participants in learning how to provide daily comprehensive literacy instruction including word work, self-directed reading, guided reading and writing. Appropriate assessments including the Whole to Part will be shared, as well as using the results to appropriately guide instruction.

SCECH and college credits will be offered for this course. Due to funding guidelines, 45 seats are available for active Oakland County Public School and PSA Educators at the cost of $60.00 per seat. There are 10 seats available for Oakland County private schools, agencies and out of county participants at the cost of $850.00 per seat.
