Event Description:

• Are you familiar with the role of specialized instruction support personnel (SISP) articulated in ESSA?

• Does your district or school building utilize a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework to support the social and academic outcomes of ESSA?

• Are you looking for ideas about how to support MTSS efforts as an SISP?

Come learn about how ancillary staff and special education teachers in Oakland County might support MTSS consensus, infrastructure-building and implementation in school buildings. The morning will be facilitated by Oakland Schools consultants and MTSS team members to gain a shared understanding of the essential elements of MTSS. The afternoon will highlight local Oakland County school teams and ancillary staff that have developed procedures, tools, and/ or resources to support their school's MTSS efforts to accelerate the social and academic learning of students in their schools.
