This special event is open to ALL school social workers.
Join us for a special evening to celebrate the good work happening in our county. In a gallery walk format, 10 social workers will share examples of best practice. These practices might include the use of thinking routines, programs, and practice models.
The evening will start with an introductory activity followed by a facilitated thinking routine. Then, participants will enjoy a "strolling dinner" as they travel through the gallery of individual, group and classroom artifacts and discuss what they see.
All social workers are invited to share as a docent. Those that share will receive a free dinner. Please contact Steve Whitmore (steve.whitmore@oakland.k12.mi.us) to become a docent. Note: If we do not have 8-10 docents, we will not hold this event.
Attention Oakland County Active School Social Workers: You may be eligible for a $40 stipend if this is non-compensated work time. Contact us for further information.
Note: Due to funding guidelines, 27 seats are available for active Oakland County Public Schools Educators and PSA employees for $15. There are 3 seats available for participants from Oakland County Private Schools and Agencies and out-of-county participants at a cost of $64 per participant.
