Event Description:

Participants will deepen understanding of the role of clearly written procedures in achieving federal/state program goals and strengthening fiscal and program accountability for districts. The session will focus on the changes resulting from the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the Uniform Grant Guidance and the alignment of these changes to the procedures for program planning, implementation and evaluation that are reviewed by Michigan Department of Education during the on-site review process.

Tools, protocols and resources to support participants/teams in assessing district needs and reviewing and revising written procedures will be shared. Additional work sessions will be offered throughout the year.

Participating districts may choose to share copies of the procedures developed for their districts in a "toolkit" that will be created and stored in a shared Google folder. This toolkit will be accessible to other participating districts.
