This event is for active Oakland County Public School and PSA Educators only.
Do you know the basics of writing and need strategies you can use in your classroom tomorrow? Join us in learning strategies in all genres of writing infused with revision techniques, access progress monitoring rubrics that will fit each of your students’ levels, be part of virtual evenings of sharing and collaboration, and receive the classroom materials you need to teach the strategies.
SRSD (Self-Regulated Strategy Development) enables students to take charge of how they self-regulate their thought processes before, during and after writing so that writing flows freely and is filled with powerful voice and agency.
This opportunity is focused around the foundations of SRSD. You will learn the 6 stages of teaching writing, self-regulation, self-talk, setting goals and self-instruction. The ideas behind self-regulation apply to any discipline essential life skills.
One full day session and your choice of two virtual sessions in the evening to ask questions, get ideas, and collaborate throughout the year!
This workshop offers a $100.00 stipend to active Oakland County Public School & PSA Educators who attend the full day workshop on August 14, 2018 on noncontracted time.
