This full day learning experience will empower district & school leaders with the tools necessary, resources, and protocols necessary to help teachers understand and act upon student date.
Data-Based Decision Making for Secondary Educators consists of one full day of professional learning experience, and two 1/2 day morning facilitated sessions, with optional time in the afternoon for teams to action plan and network. The specific professional learning outcomes are as follows:
1. Deepen understanding of Data & Assessment Literacy.
2. Teams understand the use of problem-solving protocol(s) to analyze student data, identify gaps in student learning, and explore instructional and systemic factors that could bw3 learning, and explore instructional and systemic factors that could be contributing to gaps (why some students are achieving goals and some are not.
3. Examine extent to which effective practices are evident in both core instruction and interventions.
4. Develop action plans to collect additional data, where needed, to verify root causes and to address identified student and staff needs.
