Schoolwide SEL ( https://schoolguide.casel.org/how-it-works/) is a systemic approach to integrating academic, social, and emotional learning across all school contexts. It provides a learning environment that has SEL infused into all aspects of instruction, promoting equitable outcomes and emotional well-being for all. The classroom, school, family and community indicators in this model include a bevy ot tools designed to identify, organize and plan for a more emotionally literate school with a focus on commitment, adult SEL, SEL for youth, family/community factors and continuous improvement. The three days will explore the model and its tools; assess current strengths; make connections with current initiatives and create a schoolwide SEL system (https://schoolguide.casel.org/uploads/2018/12/Indicators-of-Schoolwide-SEL_2.pdf for their unique school. Ideas to build commitment from staff will help take the work back to schools. School teams preferred. Pending grant funding, a variety of support materials and books will go to each participant.
