Event Description:
Do you struggle with writing social emotional goals? Does Mrs. Jones tell you that taking Johnny right now will interfere with meeting his reading progress? In this experience, we will examine SEL goal writing "big picture" from standard identification to progress monitoring. We'll look at the State Social-Emotional Standards and their connections with curriculum, assessment, the gathering of present level data, the actual writing of the goals, and the process of progress monitoring. Please bring a sample case with a present level statement, goal statement and progress monitoring. Also please bring examples of assessment and progress monitoring tools to share with colleagues during the day.

Note: Due to funding guidelines, 32 seats are available for active Oakland County Public Schools Educators and PSA employees for $15. There are 3 seats available for participants from Oakland County Private Schools and Agencies and out-of-county participants at a cost of $98 per participant.
