Event Description: |
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills in Schools helps students develop their own toolboxes of effective behavioral strategies, or "life enhancement" strategies. An overview of DBT in Schools will be provided. These skills help students manage difficult and emotional situations and to make better decisions when they are experiencing emotional distress. The focus will be on practical skills such as goal setting, targeting, and skill use. Following training, participants will understand when and how to apply basic principals of DBT in school setting. |
