Event Description:

This event will be conducted LIVE online. The online link will be sent to you shortly before the event.

We will adjust breaks and lunch to provide some off camera time, so plan for an active day of learning together. Pets, deliveries, kids, and other life moments are perfectly ok. We look forward to "seeing" you in August. Stipends for Oakland County educators and SCECHs are still being offered. Contact Dawn Jones with any questions: dawn.jones@oakland.k12.mi.us

Are you confident in addressing the technology needs of your students? Do you feel you can adequately address Assistive Technology (AT) in the IEP when you check the consideration box? Are you looking for resources and tools to better support your struggling learners and foster student success?

This workshop will provide foundational knowledge in Assistive Technology (AT) as it applies to students with IEPs. We will look at the definition of Assistive Technology, legal obligations for a district in considering AT, decision making to determine appropriate tools, as well as implementation and data collection. In addition, we will be exploring a variety of tools and features to better equip you to support your students this fall. Come prepared to learn with your electronic devices.
