Event Description:

This event is for Oakland County Public School Special Educators only.

How does community influence learning? How does a sense of community create a safe learning environment? In this session, we will explore the intersections between Restorative Practices and Universal Design for Learning and how these two community practices can be used in determining appropriate strategies for instruction.

Objectives:

1. Increase knowledge of community building in Restorative Practices.

2. Increase knowledge of UDL community concepts for engagement and learning.

3. Increase knowledge and skills in choosing strategies that build a vibrant and safe learning community.
