In this workshop, Paraeducators will explore how they can build and expand their skills in supporting students with disabilities in the general education setting. Participants will discuss the importance of working collaboratively with teachers and IEP team, as well as supporting the student. The role of the Para educator, whether as a one on one para, supporting a small group, or the whole class, will be analyzed to determine what best practices and strategies are most appropriate and effective for each setting. Paraeducators will be able to share and implement new strategies and ideas in their classrooms immediately following our session.
Stipends are available to all participants attending on their own time.
