Event Description:

The Adult Transition Programs & Services (ATPS) workshops provide training and technical assistance for local district staff educating students 18-26 years old aligned to Oakland Schools ATPS Guidelines and effective practices. The 3 sessions will include activities, training, and resources supporting the implementation of the Oakland County Guidelines for Adult Transition Programs & Services. The focus for the 2020-21 school year will be on program evaluation identifying strengths and gaps in evidenced based practices in: Student Development, Family Engagement, Student-Focused Planning, Interagency Collaboration, and Program Structures. Participants will be asked to evaluate their current programs & services and develop plans for continuous improvement. There will be opportunities for interactive learning with ATPS colleagues, community agency guest presenters, and sharing of resources in order to strengthen ATPS to better prepare young adults and families for post-school life.
