Event Description:

Join us for a special day of COVID-19 professional learning and sharing, tailored around the interests of the participants and their student needs. The day will feature presentations and discussion groups on the latest county trends, socio-emotional learning, current assessment practices in the county, fresh intervention activities, and community resources.

This year’s annual Election Day Community of Practice will be held using Zoom and will include using the Breakout Room feature. Each participant will be in a room with social workers who have similar assignments (based on certification and age level).

Based on breakout room assignment, participants should bring: assessment tools, interventions/intervention programs, progress monitoring tools, time savers and referral resources to share.

If you have specific practice questions that you would like to see addressed, please contact Steve Whitmore at steven.whitmore@oakland.k12.mi.us.

Note: Due to funding guidelines, 81 seats are available for active Oakland County Public Schools Special Educators at no cost. There are 9 seats available for participants from Oakland County Private Schools and Agencies and out-of-county participants at no cost per participant.

Stipends will be available for those who are not on duty this day.
