Event Description:

Google Forms are an excellent tool to use for formative assessments. Good formative assessment allows you to be quickly responsive to students’ learning needs, and Google Forms gives you the data from your students instantly after they click submit. Since all of the student data from the assessment is collected into one spreadsheet, it is easy to quickly get a snapshot of how your students are understanding the skills and concepts you were assessing. You can then use that information to adjust your lessons, plan for reteaching, etc. If you would like to get started using Google Forms to create formative assessments, sign up for this free, self-paced, online course. You will be guided, via video and text-based tutorials, through all of the steps needed to set up and use Google Forms. It is expected that it will take 4.5 hours to complete the course. This includes the time you will spend giving three Google Forms assessment to your students. The course runs for a year at a time. You can begin and end any time during that year.

Registration can be found at www.oakland.k12.mi.us  under the Professional Learning tab.

Note: To take this course for credit you need to be actively working with students in a classroom. .

This course is available only to educators working in an Oakland County school.
