Event Description:

EduProtocols are instructional lesson frames that are designed to engage students in learning through critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. EduProtocols will provide you with fresh and meaningful ways to develop original, engaging and effective instruction. The effectiveness of using EduProtocols is supported by the T3 Framework for Innovation research in the areas of production and contribution.

EduProtocols can be used with any subject and most grade levels. Students learn the structure and the flow of the EduProtocols via low cognitive load lessons. Once students are familiar with the protocols for how they are going to learn, they easily move on to using them to access content, develop skills, and showcase their knowledge. Note: EduProtocols can be used as paper/pencil activities or digital activities. The digital EduProtocol templates we will be using are made with Google Workplace tools, but they can easily be created on other platforms.

In this workshop series, you will

  • attend a virtual session where you will be introduced to several EduProtocols and experience what it is like to use them.
  • receive a copy of the book, "EduProtocol: Field Guide-Book 1" at no cost to you.
  • have the option to get credit for reading the book by responding to prompts about the text via a game set up just for this purpose. Rewards, items to use in your classroom, will be given to individual players for high scores and/or great reflections.
  • have the option to attend a second virtual session to learn more about how to start the school year with EduProtocols and get access to several Smart Start EduProtocol templates.

Participants can apply for a range of 2-15 SCECH credits depending upon the work they complete.
